Product Description
Maintain clean, dry compressed air with high-quality Made in USA 1/4″ (6.4 mm) activated alumina desiccant designed for compressed-air dryers and industrial drying applications.
This highly porous drying media adsorbs moisture from compressed air and gas streams to help support dependable dryer performance and protect downstream equipment from moisture-related problems.
The uniform 1/4″ (6.4 mm) spherical bead size combines effective moisture adsorption with excellent mechanical strength. Its larger bead size can also provide favorable airflow characteristics in systems specifically designed for 1/4″ desiccant media.
With a typical surface area of 320 m²/g, the material provides substantial internal surface area for moisture adsorption. The larger beads also offer a typical 70 lb (32 kg) crush strength, providing excellent resistance to mechanical breakdown during handling and normal dryer operation.
A typical abrasion loss of just 0.1% helps minimize the generation of dust and desiccant fines.
Supplied in a convenient 50 lb bag, this activated alumina is well suited for dryer maintenance, desiccant change-outs, and compatible OEM replacement applications requiring 1/4″ activated alumina media.
Why Choose This Activated Alumina?
Made in the USA
Manufactured domestically for consistent material quality and dependable supply.
Effective Moisture Adsorption
A typical surface area of 320 m²/g and pore volume of 0.5 cc/g provide a porous structure for effective moisture adsorption.
Uniform 1/4″ (6.4 mm) Beads
Consistent spherical bead sizing promotes uniform bed loading and predictable airflow through compatible dryer systems.
Excellent Crush Strength
Typical 70 lb (32 kg) crush strength provides strong resistance to mechanical breakdown during handling and operation.
Low-Abrasion Performance
A typical abrasion loss of only 0.1 wt% helps minimize dust and desiccant fines.
High Alumina Content
Typical composition contains 92.7% Al2O3, providing the activated alumina structure responsible for the material’s adsorption properties.
