Product Description
Maintain clean, dry compressed air with high-quality Made in USA 1/8″ (3.2 mm) activated alumina desiccant designed for compressed-air dryers and industrial drying applications.
This highly porous drying media adsorbs moisture from compressed air and gas streams to help support reliable dryer performance and protect downstream equipment from moisture-related problems.
The uniform 1/8″ (3.2 mm) spherical bead size provides a high surface area for effective moisture adsorption and consistent packing throughout the desiccant bed. With a typical surface area of 350 m²/g, this material provides extensive internal surface area for moisture removal.
The beads are manufactured for durability as well as adsorption performance, with a typical 30 lb (14 kg) crush strength and only 0.1% abrasion loss. These characteristics help reduce bead breakdown and the formation of desiccant fines during normal operation.
Supplied in a convenient 50 lb bag, this activated alumina is well suited for routine dryer maintenance, desiccant change-outs, and compatible OEM replacement applications requiring 1/8″ activated alumina media.
Why Choose This Activated Alumina?
Made in the USA
Manufactured domestically for consistent material quality and dependable supply.
High Moisture Adsorption Surface Area
A typical surface area of 350 m²/g and pore volume of 0.5 cc/g provide a highly porous structure for effective moisture adsorption.
Uniform 1/8″ (3.2 mm) Beads
Consistent spherical bead sizing promotes uniform packing and effective contact between the compressed-air stream and desiccant media.
Durable, Low-Abrasion Media
Typical 30 lb (14 kg) crush strength helps resist bead breakdown, while a typical abrasion loss of only 0.1 wt% helps minimize dust and fines.
High Alumina Content
Typical composition contains 92.7% Al2O3, providing the activated alumina structure responsible for the material’s adsorption properties.
